Unless you’re trying to run some secretive underground nightclub, your business needs some kind of marking to let potential guests know it’s there. In choosing how to broadcast your name to the public, there are a few different options. You can have a custom sign painted or printed. These can cost a pretty penny, and they’re often very heavy and immobile – they’ll generally be affixed to the wall on the outside of your establishment. This is great if you have a big business that’s completely stationary. But if your operation sometimes hits the road for tradeshows, to do product samplings, or to represent in other capacities outside your store, it can be nice to have a banner that’s bold, bright, lightweight and fully portable so that you can create instant visibility and mobile advertising, wherever you might roam.
Elite Flyers offers two different kinds of banners to suit your business’s needs. The first is the retractable banner that comes with its own stand. For less than $200, you can print a huge banner that stretches nearly three feet wide by almost seven feet tall – 33”x 80” to be exact. The banner stand is totally self-sufficient – no need to affix it to the floor or do any other kind of silly work to make it ready to promote your company’s name, advertise an especially hot sale event, or otherwise get the word out. Best of all, it rolls up into a fully portable tube shape so you can easily tote it from venue to venue.
The second is the full-color large-scale hanging banner. These come in a variety of sizes, from 2×6 feet all the way up to 8×10 feet. Can you picture the 8×10-foot banner? That’s huge! If you’re on a budget, these full-color banners begin at just $95 and range up to $485 for the largest size. Of course these banners are easy to transport, but they’re so durable that they can easily be placed outside your store and left alone for years on end. They are completely weather resistant and durable, so you don’t have to worry about the elements affecting their colorful appearance. We’re a Miami-based company – naturally we make our banners hurricane-proof! (If they blow away, on the other hand, that’s an entirely different story).
Whichever style of banner you choose, the following tips should be at the forefront of your mind when you’re plotting your design:
Regardless of which style banner you select, you’ll be investing a little bit of money in getting it designed and printed – not a ton, but not five cents either. So you may want to lay your design out carefully and consider the effect you desire. Most people want their banners to attract attention, but you may want to balance that desire with making sure that the end result is tasteful and not just loud.
But bigger is not always better! If you own a popsicle stand, probably the 8×10-foot banner size would end up looking like a circus tent strung up above your little cart. At the same time, if you are making a banner for a concert at a huge amphitheater, probably the 2×6-foot banner will be a big dwarfed by the size of the arena. So envision the venue where the sign will be and choose one of the sizes from our wide range to fit both your budget and your signage needs.
If you’ve ever been to a trade show, an expo, a fair, or any other large scale event, you’ve probably had the experience of looking from booth to booth, table to table, waiting for something to catch your eye. If you look at a stand and have no clue what their business is about or what service they’re offering, the chances you’re going to waste your time walking over to that stand are practically nil. The lesson here is that if you are bringing your biz to one of these events, you’ll want to make sure you cover all your bases. A banner above your tent or stand plus a stand-up retractable banner in front of your display will make sure that you’re seen and that your customers are informed of what to expect.
