In this digital age, there is something to be said for the simplicity of just jotting something down. The act of writing a “note to self” by hand is somehow more memorable than simply typing another text message into a cell phone or even pasting an event into the calendar attached to your email account. Don’t get us wrong – those things are valuable time-tracking tools. But in our experience, they don’t swallow up the need to write physical notes to oneself. And it’s even better if you can go on to stick said handwritten note to your desk, refrigerator, dashboard, or wherever else you’re likely to see it.
Note pads, there are no two ways about it. But for some of us – generally the same people who scribbled in our notebooks in high school and who learned better by writing down what the teacher was saying rather than by simply listening – they’re a staple of the organizational process. To add simple elegance to this time-tested tradition of mental sorting, one might consider designing and having printed some personalized note pads – ones that bear the owner’s name, and possibly his or her contact info in the event that he or she runs an office. If that be the case, the owner of said note pads can simply jot down an appointment time on the piece of note paper, and the recipient will have all the necessary information at hand, should he or she have to call to confirm, reschedule, or cancel.

One might consider printing a fun phrase, inspirational quotes, or of course just the company logo or the person’s monogram on the notepads. These memo pads make such a thoughtful gift, at least partially because of the premeditation that needs to go into the ordering of them, that the receiver will likely be bowled over by your generosity.
Note pads can be customized to fit the purpose. Many printing companies offer them in sizes from 4”x6” (the size of a large photo) all the way up to 8.5”x11” (the size of a full-siz
e piece of paper), and some allow you to customize the sheet count as well as the volume of your order. Full-color printed pads are a beautiful item to have around the office or the home – as a fun gift for a family, you might consider having memo pads printed with your friend’s family name. Everyone knows a mom who could use a little help keeping her children’s soccer schedules straight!
But the most common use for custom printed notepads is still good old fashioned inter-office communication. Any business would do well to have a hefty stack of memo pads on hand, and the sight of the company logo on the note pads is an easy way to boost company morale.
